The Photographers Collective was established in 2011 to nurture and promote the talent of photographers working in Scotland. Inspired by visits to Les Rencontres d'Arles, The Collective's primary motivation is to exhibit photographic work in and around Edinburgh, utilising existing spaces as well as showing in interesting venues.
We want to widen access to photography through our professional knowledge and expertise, and see the wealth of photographic talent in Scotland as a sign that the still image is as vital a part of the creative industries as ever before.
From lecturers to those working commercially, The Collective is an eclectic mix of image-makers.
